The first targets of a probe looking into Russia’s meddling of the 2016 election has landed former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort and his aid on house arrest. Both men pled not guilty to a host of charges, including conspiracy against the United States, conspiracy to launder money, and failure to register as a foreign agent. None of the charges concern any White House or Trump campaign activities.
President Trump is expected to name Jerome Powell the new Federal Reserve chairman on Thursday.
