“The Lady Esther Screen Guild Theatre”–originally broadcast January 4, 1943, 75 years ago. An adaptation of the 1941 motion picture “Suspicion.” Joan Fontaine reprises her 1941 Academy Award-winning role, while Basil Rathbone substitutes for Brian Aherne at the last moment in the Cary Grant role. Nigel Bruce also reprised his screen role. A woman suspects her no-good husband has killed his best friend and plans to do her in as well!
